pubs and schools, as well as nearby golf courses and the
XS Superbowl on Whitley Road with bowling alley, diner,
arcade games, bar and full sized American pool tables.
The Rising Sun Country Park behind Asda Benton provides 400
acres of beautiful wildlife perfect for walking, horseriding and
nature watching. With a visitors centre, cafe and organic farm the
Rising Sun Country Park provides the perfect venue for a family day
out.
The Blue Flames club is a not for profit organisation providing
affordable sporting facilities for the community and is a great
asset to the area of Benton and Newcastle Upon Tyne. The club is
one of only twenty sporting venues in the North East of England to
be included in the official 2012 Pre Olympic Games Training Camp
Brochure. It has also branched out into beauty treatments and
provides function rooms for celebrations and business. It is also
famous in Newcastle for its amazing fireworks display held annually
on 5th November.
Transport
Benton Metro Station is ideally situated to get to into the
heart of Newcastle City Centre and provides 10 free parking spaces
for park and ride. Living in Benton meand you are also easily
accessible by car and bus as the area is close to the Coast
Road.

The area of Benton is great for family life with plenty of
schools in the area and nearby, sporting facilities and many other
local amenities available within walking distance or by using one
of the great transport links.
