Kenton is close to the Town Moor, Gosforth and Spital Tongues,
it is around three miles from Newcastle City Centre and provides
local ameneties and good transport links to those in neighbouring
areas and the city centre.
Kenton Library is a great utility for the Kenton community
providing education, information, free internet, study areas,
storytimes and play areas for children and sessions with local
councillors.
Kingston Park is home to the Newcastle Falcons rugby team but
also to a host of shops which include TK Maxx, Matalan, Halfords,
Homebase, Boots, Marks & Spencer, American Golf, Next,
the largest Tesco Extra in the UK, a Post Office and

Kenton Park Sports Centre is situated on Anfield Road in Kenton
and is run by a community committee of local people. The sports
centre provides both indoor and outdoor sporting facilities
including fitness suite, floodlit outdoor sports areas with
basketball hoops and tennis courts. For children, the centre
provides a soft play as well as a creche three mornings a
week, allowing parents to work out knowing their children are fully
supervised.
Transport
Fawdon and Kingston Park Metro stations are close to residents
living in Kenton providing access to the Metro system which has
sixty stations servicing Newcastle Upon Tyne, Gateshead and
Sunderland.
There are also lots of local bus services that travel around
Kenton and can transport you around Newcastle and beyond.
Close to Kenton Lane and the A1, Kenton is easily reached by car or
bus.
