Top tips for returning your keys

At the end of your tenancy, you must ensure all keys are returned to the office on your tenancy end date.

We've compiled some handy tips on how to return your keys, and what not to do.

Returning your keys to the office

  • You must return all your keys to the office by midnight on the day that your tenancy ends.

  • If you are returning your keys during office hours, a member of our Property Management Team will be happy to assist you.

  • If you are returning your keys outside of office hours, please put all sets of keys in a solid envelope (not a plastic wallet or see-through bag), along with your full name, and post them through the letterbox.

Returning your keys by post

  • If you are returning your keys to us by post, they must be sent by recorded delivery and you must let us know once you have sent them.

  • Please put all sets of keys in a solid envelope (not a plastic wallet or see-through bag), along with your full name. Do not include your property address.

  • After sending your keys via recorded delivery, keep your receipt with tracking number as proof of postage.

Returning your Wi-Fi router

If you have a bills package with us, you must remember to return your Wi-Fi router along with your keys. Please remember to also submit your end of tenancy meter readings. For more information about bills packages, please refer to our FAQs.

Please be aware that if any keys are not returned to us at the end of your tenancy, then the locks in the property will need to be replaced for the security of the new tenants. The cost of this would be deducted from your property deposit, but this is a last resort - we will give you every opportunity to return your keys.

Please remember that we need to think of the safety of our tenants and their possessions, so we cannot risk previous tenants being able to enter the property.
