Walton Robinson are hosting a pub quiz with all proceeds going to local charity St Oswald’s Hospice.
The company has been a fundraising partner for St Oswald’s Hospice for several years. This September, five members of staff are taking on The Great North Run on behalf of the hospice and aim to raise at least £1,500.
The pub quiz will be held on Thursday 19th July at The Hotspur Pub on Percy Street, Newcastle City Centre. Raffle tickets will be on sale on the night with prizes donated from a range of local businesses including The Alchemist and Zapatista Burrito Bar. Tickets for the quiz are £3 per person, including raffle entry, and can be reserved in advance or purchased on the night.
Anna Smith, Marketing Assistant at Walton Robinson and one of the team of 5 entering the Great North Run, said “It’s been fantastic to see our team getting involved in a range of fundraising events for the charity already this year, including bag-packing, a world cup sweepstake and a highly competitive office bake-off. The pub quiz is our biggest event so far and is kindly hosted by the fantastic team at our Percy Street neighbours, The Hotspur Pub, in partnership with Seats Quizzes – we wouldn’t have been able to do this without them. Walton Robinson are delighted to be raising money for this fantastic local charity and look forward to a great evening as well as hopefully smashing our fundraising target!”
Jessica Murphy of St Oswalds Hospice added; “The money raised by Walton Robinson will help St Oswald’s Hospice make the most of time and improve the quality of life for people in the North East living with an incurable condition, and their families.
It is thanks to the support of amazing companies like Walton Robinson that St Oswald’s Hospice is able to develop and grow our services, so that everyone in our region gets the expert, dignified and compassionate care when they need it most.”
