Why is it important that you use an ARLA Estate Agent?

ARLA, the Association of residential letting agents was founded in 1981 and is the professional and regulatory body for letting agents in the United Kingdom. Over 3,500 offices are members of ARLA and membership comes with many benefits to both the agent and the landlords and tenants they deal with. Walton Robinson is proud to be an ARLA licensed agent in Newcastle.

Seven of our staff members have gained the professional ARLA qualifications in Residential Lettings and Management and the rest are currently studying towards the exams. This means our staff are well educated in the ARLA guidelines and government legislation relating to property and letting agents and are here to help you.

Using an ARLA licensed agent means the agent adheres to a strict code of conduct, regularly attends update courses and keeps up to date on all the latest industry news and changes to property legislation and regulations.

When you start to look for a property or an agent it is important that you use an ARLA licensed agent to make sure you are dealing with a professional agency and your money is protected by a Client Money Protection Scheme. You are guaranteed that they have Professional Indemnity Insurance and abide by the ARLA Code of Practice and Rules of Conduct.

As the old saying goes it's better to be safe than sorry!
