HR & Office Manager

Walton Robinson is looking for a hands on, extremely well organised and responsible person to join our management team. 

This is a full-time position, working across multiple departments as well as with the wider group of companies of which Walton Robinson is a part of, and other closely associated companies.

Our regional office is based on Percy Street in the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne, easily reached by car, bike or public transport. Walton Robinson is an independent property agency offering services in lettings, property management, sales and buy to let as well as consultancy services. We also offer serviced apartments available for short-term stays, weekend breaks or corporate travel.

The successful applicant will have experience in undertaking all aspects of HR and Office Management activities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing business compliance, regulatory and health and safety requirements
  • Administration of insurance policy renewals (cars, office, professional indemnity) – obtaining quotes etc.
  • Administration of business invoicing, office utility bills
  • Working with Departmental Managers to generate reports and data to quantify performance and skills of their teams.
  • Working with Departmental Managers and Senior Management to conduct biannual performance appraisals
  • Production and updating of company policy documents following consultation with Senior Management – dress codes, remote working, credit card
  • Fleet management
  • Provide a strong management presence within the offices and ensuring the offices are always well presented
  • Administration of recruitment process including onboarding of new starters, production of documentation, induction and probation meetings
  • Monitoring staff wellbeing
  • Providing monthly staffing report on hours worked, holidays, and sick days etc to enable payroll to be performed
  • Conducting return to work interviews
  • Management of holiday requests
  • Approval of timesheets
  • Approving expense and mileage submissions
  • Conducting disciplinary process
  • Arranging staff social events.

Essential skills:

  • Outgoing and confident
  • Demonstrable prior experience of key responsibilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable skills:

  • Experience of working in the property industry.
